CAIF Cultural Events

Ensemble Lucidarium is an international group specialized in the interpretation of Medieval and Renaissance music. As part of an eight-concerts US tour, they will be performing at Fermilab "la Istoria de Purim: Music and Poetry of the Jews in Renaissance Italy".

In the XV and XVI centuries three Israelite communities met in Italy: the Ashkenazy coming from North of the Alps, the Sepharadi from the Iberian Peninsula, and the Italikims who had been in Italy since the Roman Empire. This program is dedicated to the musical and poetic legacy of the Jewish communities of Renaissance Italy, the result of this unique convergence among different people and cultures.

This concert is organized by C.A.I.F. (Cultural Association of Italians at Fermilab) in collaboration with I.I.C. (Istituto Italiano di Cultura) of Chicago and with the support of Congregation Beth Shalom of Naperville.
